the way to coast it is quiet. now, a look at the temperatures i updated at 5:00, frosty around santa rosa and 32 and a load of mid-30's inland, to 40's around fairfield, and mid 30's around redwood city, and upper 30's in san jose and half moon bay. 48 in san francisco for the warm spot. mid-to-upper 30's around monterey bay and 32 in gilroy so frost there, too. sunny and mild is what we will have this afternoon, but what we will have just about every kay this week as i see no strong storms on the horizon bringing us much needed rain and much needed snow. overnight it will be clear and cool and chilly because of the lack. cloud cover and the dry air mass and lack of wind. today, compared to average we will be two degrees warmer in live more and oakland, 63, napa is one degree warmer and right where we should be in napa and san jose, and san francisco is 359 and two degrees cooler-than-average. we will have 50's along the coast into san francisco and low-to-mid 60's for the rest of us under sun. as we head to the monterey bay, monterey, 57 and low 60's for the bay and inland. a lot of mid-

. and 52 in santa rosa. so overall it was actually a nice day because we saw the sunshine even though it was on the chillier side. it made for a nice day to ride the sailboat over the bay. i saw a lot of them out there. cool breezy overnight temperatures in the mid-30s to mid-40s and then we have a warming trend on the way beginning tomorrow and continuing throughout the week. it looks like thursday, friday that's when we'll see the warmest weather. tomorrow highs low 50s and 60s. the winds quiet down and that's going to keep temperatures warmer with plenty of sunshine all across the coast, bay and inland. so a ridge of high pressure continues to build. and it's not going anywhere it looks like throughout the workweek so no real chance of rain for the next 24 hours. you can see in our futurecast, really even beyond that, the next chance of rain the change in our weather looks like it's going to be next sunday. so more than a week from now. and that's only a chance of rain. it's too far off to predict for sure but anyway, no need for an umbrella for

49er is facing a drunk driving charge. according to the santa rosa press democrat, the officers arrested al netter on wednesday, the third 49er to be arrested on a dui charge since 2012. and he said in a statement, quote, the organization takes the issues organization isly and it's an ongoing legal matter. >>> democrats have large majorities in california legislatures and they're charting an ambitious agenda for the year ahead and lawmakers introduced hundreds of bills before the deadline, including proposals to change gun and ammunition laws, property, corporate tax collections, voting rights and environmental regulations are all up for review. the lawmakers put forward a total of more than 2,000 bills. meanwhile, the california democrats no longer hold a supermajority in the state senate. >> and that is a big change in san francisco because of a surprise resignation the past week and cbs reporter rob mcallster tells us the neverring is underway to fill the soon to be vacant seat. >> reporter: no one was expecting marco rubio to drop his resignation and to beginning -- begin wo
